Who's behind the genius of MoEZ?
by Valerie, MoEZ Creator
(Co-conspirator)
About Monte
Monte is originally from San Jose, CA
where he worked as a painter for Ford Motor
Company. When they closed their plant
in San Jose he transferred to Minnesota,
where we met. He retired from Ford
Motor Company in 1991 after 30 years.
I believe that his attention to detail came
from when he was spraying vehicles, can’t
have any runs or sags you know. He
takes pride in what he does and I am
grateful that he has something to occupy his
time when I am at work. He relishes
the fact that he can make so many women
happy, all at the same time, with my
blessing no less. He truly is the
"King of the Happy Hookers." I am one of his
"adoring subjects" and we've been married
since 1987. Monte is the one that
coined the phrase "why crochet when you can
mochet?" When I told the gals
on our Yahoo! Group List the name stuck.
Hence mocheting became the name for
doing the Tunisian or afghan stitch with the
MoEZ Hooks. It has been exciting
seeing it used as a "verb" around the
Internet. It has reached its own form
of fame, right up there with "Where's the
beef?"
About Valerie
I am from St. Paul, Minnesota. I
have lived in California, Oklahoma,
Louisiana and now I am back in Oklahoma.
During the day I work for Southwest
Airlines, as a reservation agent. At
night I teach classes for mocheting
at local Hobby Lobby stores. I try to
keep up with our MoEZ business before and
after work. I was a self-employed
professional photographer for over 30 years
and due to an auto accident in 1989 I was
unable to continue with photography. I
still do favors for friends and use my craft
to add helpful photos to instructional books
that I write. I taught art,
photography and calligraphy to children and
adults in the various school systems in
Minnesota. I guess that I always had
the teaching bug so having web lists that
offer assistance are not so far off my life
path for fulfillment. I enjoy helping
others and I hope that they are as happy
with my help as I am to give it. |
